EAT WHAT Engineered Genes = GMOs? Prop 37

Did you eat summer corn --with genes that resist weed-killer?  I do not know --You do not know.  Only those who engineered genes in a lab then inserted those into vegetables -fruit -wheat and more, know which weird un-natural genes they inserted into which crops --and they aren't saying.

Chemical engineers don't have to reveal --which foods contain their test-tube engineered genes.

Seeds: belong --not to any one person -country -corporation, but to humankind --unless something 'unique' is done to a seed, for which it can, unfortunately, receive patent from US Patent office.  Monsanto and other chemical corporations decided: there's money to be made splicing -dicing -engineering genes of one plant --inserting into seed of entirely different species of plant = screwing with nature, AKA producing frankenfood.  e.g., tomato made to last as long as a pesticide-grown apple = months --without mildew or flavor.  Nutritional value?  Unknown.  Affect on human organs -blood -brain -fetus?  Unknown.

Killer genes?
Round-UpR is a toxin that will kill weeds --birds --fish --wildlife --humans, most probably all life.  It is so powerful:  chemical corporations that make such toxins should not be allowed to put into market --without first showing Proof of safety, but they are -they do.  In a bad joke, Some corporations have created genes resistant to such toxins and inserted those into food crop seed --without obvious detection or labeling --until now.

What are you eating?

What's eating you?  If you live in California:  you have unique opportunity to Know what's in the fresh -packaged -frozen food you purchase from supermarkets.  Proposition 37 on the ballot November 6, 2012 election asks: Do you want food labels to state contents contain GMO --genetically modified genes?

Vote?
Even if you're 'turned off' on who should be the next President --have 'no opinion' if a millionaire's daughter decides how taxes get spent on schools, Prop 38 --any other issues up for vote: if you want to Know what you're eating --want Labels to state if food contains genetically modified organisms, GMOs, sign up --show up to Vote.

Future?
Man-made genes inserted into crops --safe?  No one anywhere has answer --altered genes haven't been around long enough to Know --short-term, long-term affect.  We only know:  cancer rates are soaring.  Want to be Monsanto's guinea pig?  They most probably would like to use your body to find out.

Cancer?
Can GMOs generate cancer cells in humans?  I could post photos of rats fed GMO-foods --with large tumors all over the body --such photos exist.  I'm not interested in emotional appeal, I will not post gross photos of gross diseased animals. I do not know veracity of those photos or claims.

I do Know:  if Nature wanted a particular gene IN a particular seed, that vegetable -fruit -nut -grain gene would BE inserted --in one of many natural ways, nothing to do with test tubes or corporate profit.

Nature did not invent Round-Up weed-killer; Nature does not create genes to react to that which it did not create.

3rd World Country?

If Prop 37 wins:  FDA will likely require all food packaging in the US to list GMOs id on label --as in 40 countries.  US far behind Europe -Asia -South America GMO labeling.  We can do better.

--Fail?
If listing GMOs on the label fails to win in California:  to avoid GMOs

• buy produce --not in cans -frozen -packaged goods from supermarkets, but:  fresh --directly from local farmer --farmer's markets held locally, every day, all over --in every state
• buy 'old': varieties of produce from heirloom seeds, e.g., heirloom tomatoes --multi-colored tomatoes with funny shapes -unusual colors, not perfect looking --loaded with flavor; not tasting like cardboard, stripped of flavor to 'hold up' over long periods, not bright from gas during transport
• ask the farmer:  pesticide -herbicide -any commercial farms near-by with crop 'drift' -how they control insects -mildew -disease?  If you aren't satisfied with the answers move on
• In California: ea produce stand must post papers at front of booth:  read the material; 
• if papers not posted: report the seller to market's manager, or note grower's name and call in complaint later to county which oversees farms

If you live outside of California: to get GMOs listed on food labels: 

• start a petition on-line --such as at Care2mail e-mail website, it's free (and great e-mail service)
• write to FDA
• write to your representative in Congress:  they don't hear from you = don't know you care
• contact your friends -co-workers -neighbors -PTA to work together on food labels in your state

"Expensive"?
If you think original/organic food without pesticide -herbicide -genetically modified organisms costs too much compared to 'super'market food:  buy more medical insurance, You will need it.

Chemicals in Pregnant Women Identified

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Almost all U.S. pregnant women carry dozens of chemicals from non-stick cookware, food or personal-care items -- some banned from the 1970s, researchers say.

Lead author Tracey Woodruff of the University of California, San Francisco, and colleagues analyzed data for 163 chemicals and found 43 of the chemicals were found in more than 99 percent of pregnant women.

The researchers detected
polychlorinated biphenyls
organochlorine pesticides
perfluorinated compounds
phenols
polybrominated diphenyl ethers
phthalates
polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
perchlorate [dry cleaners fluid, jet fuel; found seeping into ground water, many sites]
in 99 percent to 100 percent of pregnant women. [highlights mine]

Bisphenol A, a chemical that makes plastic hard and clear and also found in epoxy resins that are used to line the inside of metal food and beverage cans, was identified in 96 percent of the women studied.

Prenatal exposure to BPA has been linked to affecting brain development and increasing susceptibility to cancer later in life, the researchers say.

"It was surprising and concerning to find so many chemicals in pregnant women without fully knowing the implications for pregnancy," Woodruff says in a statement.

"Several of these chemicals in pregnant women were at the same concentrations that have been associated with negative effects in children from other studies.

The findings are published in Environmental Health Perspectives.

Bone Drugs: Linked to Esophageal Cancer

LONDON (Reuters) - People who take a commonly used class of osteoporosis drugs called bisphosphonates for more than five years may be doubling their risk of developing cancer of the gullet or esophagus, a British study found on Friday.

Researchers who conducted the work said the results were worrying, but should not prompt doctors or patients to immediately change their practice on bisphosphonates, which are prescribed mainly to older people to help strengthen weak bones.

"We have to be concerned, but this is the first large study with long-term follow up that has found this effect, and it is just one observational study," said Jane Green of Oxford University's Cancer Epidemiology Unit, whose research was published in the British Medical Journal.

"Also, because esophageal cancer is uncommon, even a doubled risk is still a low risk," she said in a telephone interview.

Bisphosphonates are a class of drug designed to help prevent bone fractures and offset bone weakness associated with menopause and with osteoporosis. They include Merck & Co's Fosamax, Roche's Boniva, Novartis's Reclast and Warner Chilcott's Actonel.

Green and colleagues from Britain's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) analyzed data from the UK General Practice Research database on men and women aged over 40 who had either esophageal cancer, stomach cancer or colorectal cancer diagnosed between 1995 and 2005.

They found that people with 10 or more prescriptions for bisphosphonates, or with prescriptions over about five years, had nearly double the risk of esophageal cancer compared with people with no bisphosphonate prescriptions.

"In Europe and North America, the incidence of esophageal cancer at age 60-79 is typically 1 per 1,000 population over five years, and this is estimated to increase to about 2 per 1,000 with five years' use of oral bisphosphonates," they wrote in a report of their findings.

In people who had one or more previous prescriptions for oral bisphosphonates, the risk of developing of esophageal cancer was 30 percent higher than in those who had never taken the drugs. The researchers found no links between bisphosphonate prescriptions and stomach or bowel cancer.

Green noted that a previous study using the same UK database had found no link between bisphosphonates and esophageal cancer, but said her research had tracked patients for almost twice as long. She also said that with populations aging, bone diseases such as osteoporosis were becoming more common, leading to higher levels of bisphosphonate use.

"It's important to see our findings as part of a wider picture. These are very commonly prescribed drugs and we don't have enough information about the long-term risks and benefits."

In a commentary on the study, Diane Wysowski of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration [FDA] said "the possibility of adverse effects on the esophagus should prompt doctors who prescribe these drugs to consider risks versus benefits."

She also suggested doctors "tell patients to report difficulty in swallowing and throat, chest, or digestive discomfort so that they can be promptly evaluated and possibly advised to discontinue the drug."

I was Stunned by what no-longer supreme court did: "judges" became activists, based on NO Law, decided who would be the president, eight years ago.

The 'selectee': Oval Office Occupant, I call him the Thug (I don't use his name; or title, since he ascended to office illegally both times), realized my worst fears: though he swore otherwise, he began to Ignore the Constitution and he, mostly, shredded Rights granted in the Bill of our Rights delivered to the King of England and new America/Americans.

The Rumblings about invading Iraq began almost immediately after he took the office. I did deep research and learned: there were NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION in Iraq; Iraqis couldn't invade or harm this country. With trepidation: I wrote a letter to the Thug. I asked, pleaded, begged Oval Office Occupant: NOT to invade/start a war with Iraq.

My reward?
He did not reply, nobody did. Instead: I got, I believe, put on some kind of Watch list. I confess: it freaked me. I stopped writing.

Fresh Start
New year, new president. Space/me: still on a Watch List? Dunno, Tired of caring. Some weeks ago, wanting to update, I removed some items from Sidebar and *poof* theme went screwy, lol, and stopped functioning --evil spirits, Watchers??? lol. Undeterred, I 'freshened'/updated theme (technically), and added some new gadgets.

So: I begin again.

Premise of this site:
a.) Chemicals, Man-made, inserted into every part of our life, allowed into market-place without True oversight or PROOF that a chemical is SAFE for humans, creatures, planet --environment.

b.) After Man-made things cause harm: Western Medicine does not Cure resultant disease, but merely treats the Symptoms of disease. --Nobody is going to Get Healthy by treating Symptoms, 'fallout' of disease, ever.

Cervical Cancer "Vaccine" --Scam?

One of the best marketing campaigns ever invented: 'Keep Your Daughter from Cervical Cancer" --vaccinate --pronto.' Excuuuse me....?

The lab rats that came up with the so-called vaccine to counter cervical cancer: picked the disease, I suspect, because marketing for the drug was so slice-of-cake easy.

This post could have been written
--when the 'trials' were going --ignorant school board members were spammed --ad campaign hit the media/our airwaves used --for free, to sell a corporation's product. Now: as good as any other time, while reports roll in ---how useless the 'wonder' drug....

Playing on fear
Giant pharma picked a disease and NO doubt, the plan to sell it and worked it: you want to protect/prevent your daughter from getting cervical cancer? Okey-dokey: shoot her up with this 'vaccine' we made. Oh, gosh: warts --STDs --lesions --fainted --died? Oops, sorry. Uh, Proof --high-profit margin drug will prevent the disease --from ALL the cervical cancer viruses? --All the side effects? Hmm....

Giant pharma: used their sales force --to prey on ignorant members of school boards, on parents, on willing doctors, on FDA...who all jumped on the pitch wagon.

But, Hmm, how does a daughter get cervical cancer?

How: cancer of the cervix? Disease transmitted: via a penis, during intercourse. No penis: cure --no virus?

Sticks and Stones...
Would it perhaps, be useful to educate girls: NOT to accommodate the aggressive penis-holder? --NOT to care so much about being called names/be "popular"/fit "in" --NOT to be passive passenger of one's life --NOT to be 'polite'/NOT go along to get along --demand girls be as aggressive in looking out for well-being of their health, their body --as boys are in looking for sexual gratification? Hmm....

Where, Precisely, is the Evidence that said vaccine: WILL actually prevent all cervical cancers --justifies the consequences and the expense --and the message: only GIRLS should be vaccinated?

object to the vaccine: on the grounds giving it to girls will enable/encourage sexual activity. Crap. How about respect: Give girls ALL the facts. Empower girls: to USE the brain they were given, to decide for themselves.

Or, duh: just Exactly WHERE is the vaccine/drug/remedy for the disease CARRIER, instead of only the Recipient? WHY is big pharma even making a drug which supposedly prevents the Consequences of getting a penis inserted --but NOT a drug for the penis-holder?

When the penis-user is routinely instructed
--educated --INFORMED of the damage inflicted as a result of repeated insertion --and the consequences --After boys are instructed to refrain from inflicting disease --on girls they are both too young to make life-long commitments with, Then the discussion might reasonably begin: what to do about remedy for resultant disease --but Not before.

Until that day: parents, school board members, politicians, FDA should NOT be looking to engorge big pharma's bottom line --on a vaccine --of unknown long-term consequences --on only HALF of the equation, Right-wing or left-wing.

Otherwise THAT is the prescription: how to get cancer --without remedy, just politics.

Who Should Be President?

I am tired, worn out.

I have been watching the current administration --ever since The Looser went to court, convinced nine people they should pick him, and they re-paid those who gave them jobs by choosing The Looser of the 2000 election.

Nine people stopped the clock --they started, to re-count ballots, then made their choice --of who would occupy the Oval Office --over the objection, ignoring majority of voters.

The nine didn't care --that ballots were put in the trash --long-time voters were removed from voting rolls --polling places moved to undisclosed locations --voters were disenfranchised, disrespected.

I have watched --members of Republican Party, in the Executive and the Legislative branch, betray the principles of their Party. --Watched them create war, division, disharmony, disappearing middle-class, fear, loathing --massive debt.

Republican Party members: take away rights granted in the Bill of Rights --silence librarians --imprison people without evidence --given Nation's land, minerals, water, assets --to the connected --to their friends.

For the first time in over 800 hundred years: they took the Right of humans to petition Our government for release from prison. The Right of habeas corpus: established by the Magna Carta in England in 1215 --copied by nearly every country in the world. But the United States of America --has gone backwards. --Stripped rights we were granted in the Constitution, in the Bill of Rights, claiming it was for 'our protection.'

Current administration: doesn't care. They have used Fear --to get what they want --reward friends with the Public's money --alter basic Freedoms --change laws --make America the most despised country on the earth.

--A right-winger, who actually used a religion --dragged it into federal government --given it Public's money--for eight long years. Should we now choose an extremist --on the left --with a different religion?

Nope.

I am exhausted. I want Real Change. --Not a person who is PART of the Legislative branch. We need someone with Executive experience --who knows how to Lead, not a follower who is part of a crowd.

The Best indicator of the future: the past. I don't want clever words describing a rosy future that will Somehow appear. --I want to Look at a record --that shows: Been there, Done that.

I'm exhausted, want to rest --knowing the person has the judgement --maturity --experience to solve problems --and already Proven it, not promises and pretty words about the future.

I want a Democrat in the White House. --A member of the Democratic Party will already be refreshing change.
--Who has shown they can lead, not tells me they will.

--Knows How: balance a budget, Done it, not tells me vague words about 'figuring it out later.'

--Knows How to work with the regular people who already run government everyday --the heads of nations --the diplomats --the difficult and those who seek favors.

--NOT a newbie, who will learn on-the-job, but proven skills, experience, knowledge, ability. Would You want the surgeon who has never done the operation?

How about we choose a person: who Has respect --genuine regard --for all Americans, those of other countries --the press --Congress members --intelligence agents --the military.

I don't want the policy wonk --who gave us exported jobs --de-regulated airlines --chaotic telephone-cable-cell-phone mess --midnight raids on the Treasury --scandals, indictments, favoritism.

I want a person: that all parties --would enjoy, content with having --who cares about the Whole country --All people, No Matter Party -ideology -religion --wealth --poverty.... A Leader who can unite the greatest number --without favoritism or favor to business -unions -ethnic origin -gender --or pals --but All of us --treated equally --restoring Rights, values, long-established principles.

I'm tired, of fear, loathing --war and death --division --discord --disregard for privacy --laws --fairness --librarians forbidden to speak. Tired of being embarrassed, wincing --wondering if my phone -fax -e-mail is part of the spying, lying, greed.

I don't want to be ashamed --of being an American --of Gitmo prisoners held on no evidence, bail, rights or legal representation.

--We do NOT need an imperial president, arrogantly scooping up power --signing 'Signing Statements' --in secret --saying 'even though I just signed this Bill into law, I won't enforce or obey it.'

We need a Leader --who will use government to do for us that which we cannot do individually --for the common good. --Like infrastructure, airline and port security, Nation's Guard. --Balance military protection and medical insurance. --care of those who cannot care for themselves. Then leave us alone, get out of our way from making our own way.

We need a Leader who will see to it that we get simple --clean --Fair tax laws.

Not a "perfect" person, a smart one. --Who, when something doesn't work, will say so, change course, move on --NOT terrified, not in denial --stubbornly pursuing failure, even unto others' death.

I don't want a 'private' army --or the candidate tied to it, but to stream-line --modernize the one we've got --with only those weapons that WORK --only the ones we need, not handing out no-bid no-competition contracts for the bloated and the worthless.

I want us to re-join the world --in solving Common problems, restoring peace, making a better world for All. THAT is how to 'make war' on 'terrorists.' "Terrorist": someone who cannot read, doesn't have a job, no way to earn a living --no future. --Our prisons are crammed full of them. --When they are released? How is That smart, healthy --productive?

If we don't have Leader --willing to ask/look for ways to solve --melting glaciers --disappearing species, fuel and food shortages, nothing else will matter --when quakes -hurricanes -floods -mud -disease -hunger consume all of us on the planet.

No tax "breaks" for the oily boys. Choose a person with a record of doing smart environmental things. --Not one with campaign donations from nuke industry lobbyists.

I want to elect a person who Will Actually uphold the US Constitution --as it was written --originally, not the "new version" stripping rights --and the Bill of Rights, original version. THAT is the way to Health --for humans, country, planet.

What I want in the Executive branch: Quality.

I want a person who has Proven they have 'the goods' --the experience, the brains, the personality, the skill. Who fits that criteria --Who should we choose to run the country?

From "Bring It On" to On His Knees?

Oval Office Occupant sent President of Vice off to Royal House of Saud --while he runs to off to Jordan, dialing 911 --to all those they once dissed, before, after taking possession of the White House and Iraq, now running hither & yon, on their knees looking for help, hoping --praying(?) for a miracle from daddy's cronies. It's almost a pleasure to watch.
Tthey didn't have a Plan B. They didn't bother with hardened transport, Kevlar vests or even enough water or bullets in 18 months of planning invasion --they couldn't be bothered. No, their Plan A called for invading the two countries that bordered the Caspian Sea, loot Iraq's assets, load the booty on to waiting ships and leave --both countries to clean up the mess.

They twisted Natural forces, perverted, bent Nature to their will. They counted on using fear and "Patriot" Act of theft and religion and money to get More.

Instead rendered mute by Americans, disgusted with their arrogance, their indifference, their imcompetance as they did oily boys and their patrons' business. Now: the President of Vice must sit quietly at table surrounded by those who are empowered to render them impotent, without saying a word.

Nature Does Not Make Mistakes. Now: they must pay. Now they must confront the gravity of what they have wrought. They have to do the actual work of governing, of finding a Real way out, of having to clean up their messes.

There weren't enough "vote" machines that could ever be built to stop that 'pay day.'

About 17 years ago my parents moved to into a community they discovered, as they got to know their neighbors, mostly of right-wing to extreme right-wing Republicans. They all made a joint decision some years ago not to discuss politics, in order to get along and maintain community harmony. Early this past summer they told me: several of their neighbors had decided to vote for a Democrat and told my parents so, so disgusted were they with the current Administration. I was elated, very nearly posted on it, But I've seen too many un-naturual acts committed and stayed silent not to assume any thing. David Brooks of NY TIMES recently revealed: Republicans had taken a poll 13 months before the election and knew --they were going to loose --but refused to believe it. He also stayed silent.

Don't believe the religious right-wing whining. If Occupant was an Actual leader, gave a damn about doing the right thing: Rummy would have been booted out immediately after Iraq prison scandal shamed all Americans. Booting his butt "before the election" would way not have saved this Administration or saved a "few seats."

Personal Note: This month is one year anniversary of this blog. Originally, begun as reaction, outrage --of the deceit; that doctors not only failed to cure Peter Jennings, but did nothing whatsoever to halt the disease --that killed him. I knew he chose "the most aggressive" methods of Western medicine hoping to restore his health; I knew doctors used him...in various ways, instead of using Nature to cure him. I thought of all the politics involved in those decisions...I was, am, disgusted with those politics that kill. But as I watched the politics going on daily, along with the deaths, I began to have an inkling that the 2006 election was going to also be hijacked. I put aside vast material on protecting one's health from such politics, to focus on the politics. After election I was exhausted; a few days rest turned into a longer break. Had I intended it, I would have posted notice.

So thank you for returning this past year. I'll try to post more often, more on health along with other ways to protect onesself. I hope you had a tasty Thanksgiving. Don't spend much money this holiday season, don't create regret. Put as much money as you can into savings account. What Do You Know?

Bob Woodward, editor of WASHINGTON POST, once half of reporter team Woodward & Bernstein that wrote investigative pieces which exposed Republican Party dirty dealings -- "Watergate" --led to hearings which led to tape recordings and admission of guilt in the form of Tricky Dick Nixon's resignation from presidency in disgrace...talking about "State of Denial" his latest book, to David Letterman.

Significant part of the book: material based on classified documents, which he said were difficult to obtain. Some came from people who wanted him to know things. He also got interviews. One: ON the Record with the President of Vice, so enraged "judge" Scalia's hunting partner, that one day Woodward picked up his phone, he said, to hear President of Vice swear, slam the phone. Ahhh...so dignified...veneer peeled....

Which part didn't the President of Vice care for --classified documents --insiders' sharing --or: that he opened his mouth and truth flew out, for a change--while a reporter was there to 'capture the moment'....

Woodward Told a Story
Woodward and his wife went to a social event in Washington and was seated at table with Vice President Al Gore and wife Tipper. He talked to Mr. Gore about the difficulty of getting information and he said:
"you were part of an administration for eight years, you were on the inside, you saw everything, you sat in on meetings, you know what it's like. How much do we know about what goes on?"

Vice President Gore: "1%"

Woodward was stunned. "Okay, supposing you wrote about your experience in office, what you saw and learned and you wrote a memoir. How much would we know then?"

--Woodward to Letterman: --I asked him --from all the things that happened while he was in office, what he knew, I figured if he wrote about it he would say something like 90% or maybe 80%.

Vice President Gore: "2%"

--Woodward: I was shocked. It keeps me up at night...wondering what we don't know...things I want to know....

I have a LOT to say, this has to be the first one: Remember --when "genius" Rove escaped indictment, by the Special Prosecutor –for revealing CIA undercover agent's identity, to clip/threaten her husband for his criticism of the Administration? When Prosecutor Fitzpatrick announced he would not indict Rove I posted:

News: the Special Prosecutor Won’t indict Karl-“brains”-behind-Oval-Office-occupant-Rove, for violating Federal Secrets Act revealing CIA agent’s identity. Angry? Why?
Karl Rove may be “elated” today: but Now he will receive his True sentence. The Universe will not allow escape.

Remedy
Don't Worry ~Be Happy...We know what he did, but the Universe knows: how to inflict
Perfect Justice.

His sentence, Among other things: he is now “free” to “orchestrate” the next election.
He will receive: everything he has coming….
Look Forward to it –watch it –enjoy it...they can run nekid through the Rose Garden, it won't change what's coming...justice meted out by the Universe: superior to Man’s….

Nature does not make mistakes.... When Rove escaped federal indictment I KNEW: he would NOT escape public humiliation of another kind. –I felt it meant: he would be brought to his knees in the next election. However: the people running this Administration and the people behind them –want certain things, so strongly, I believe, that I had real fear, I'll admit it now –that they would thwart this election, by screwing with the electronic "vote" machines, again, and Justice...delivered some other way.

Though they tried to do it again, Expected it to work again, they were thwarted. This election: they got What they Deserved.

I am happy about the Election, somewhat...(and relieved), but I believe, suspect, fear now, that: 1999 will be looked at as the apex of the US. From 2000: the country went on down-slide to totalitarianism –dictatorship; that the Grand Experiment that is America ended with 2000 "election"... not ever the same or rise to any grandness.

The people who hijacked the Republcan Party: are only in remission –temporarily. If you saw Occupant at press conference this morning: you saw almost charming side. Why. He dumped arrogant incompetent "war" archietect Rummy. Why. –Concession to voters? Or: they will do, say whatever it takes –for power. He, they are willing to sound chastised, work with a woman –whatever it takes, as long as: they Keep the White House in 2008 in Republican hands --hands they can control.

Now: Democratic Party must become strong; do smart things. They have only one and a half years. You have only one and half years.

I had hoped, for good long while, European Union would coalese, fast enough, and become strong –strong enough to be world power; challenge/check to power of this country. Tony Blair has not been a leader, may have done so much damage to the European Union that it won't fulfill its goal -for a long time.

Now two things give me hope: increasing global warming; disillusionment of Evangelical Christians.

Global Warming
If enough people –alarmed, outraged, motivated: demand changes to reduce planet pollution –they could de-rail whatever hidden agenda of certain people.

Politically-Organized Evangelical Christians
If enough religious people: stop listening to 'leaders' and realize that after all the money, all the votes they contributed –netted no meaningful results –become realistic –put their energy into other ways to accomplish whatever their goals are –stop funding, stop voting for people who only use them, government Administrations will stop trying to use them; will be forced to go back to government's true purpose:

Actually protect its citizens; balance budget --make up massive deficit; provide economic environment for all to prosper; treating all –equally, fairly, indifferent to differences.

First impending catastrophy: could 'fuel' all the others...make it possible.

REMEDIES
These people will not quit –they haven't given up their plans, only delayed them.
You must be:
-well-informed, vigiliant, proactive, thrifty, protective as never before
-Stop using plastic –going into debt, borrowing. Every time you use Debt cards, you are borrowing –against your own future and you are helping banks, corporations to use their power against you
-Get off the plastic diet: must make purchase -Use CASH; buy from local individual shops
Believe it: You MUST save money –as Much as you can manage and then some more
-Open a ROTH-IRA: ask any local bank if they can open for you; if you take the time: search for best interest rate on-line; you have until December 31 to put in several thousand dollars --which won't be taxable on Income Tax Return next year.
-Keep Healthy: eat fruit, vegetables --all colors -fresh, organic (--no pesticide) or frozen --as much as you want; cut way back on flesh --beef, fish, chicken, pig; for high-quality/low cost protein eat: cottage cheese

Before Going to Vote: Find Out What to Take

The people who control Congress: have changed the voting rules and made it harder to vote. --None of the rules are consistent across the country, each state has its own requirements.

Polls open and close at different hours across the country --and they require various things before you can sign in to vote and get a ballot. Some require: Birth Certificate or picture ID or Driver's License or utility bill showing your name, current address --some require all of them. Why did Majority Party in Congress change the voting rules --require identification to vote? They hope you, the forgetful, poor and new citizens will not have necessary ID --or will not know that the rules have changed --to prevent voting. THAT is how fearful they are of Voters' wrath for things they have done past six years.

Too bad! Enter your Zip Code --find your Polling Place, map, your Registrar of Voter's address & phone and Find Out what your are required to: Bring to the Polls!

If you don't want to use the Locator link above: open Google >enter your City and add 'dot gov' --to reach your area's Registrar of Voters website. It will list ID requirements to vote.

If you think it should be as easy to vote in the US as it is in Iraq: Vote for someone else to represent you in Congress.

Election: CBS Just Embarrassed Themselves

On the last Sunday before 2006 Election: CBS just showed the kind of stuff they are stuffed with.

Did you watch "60 Minutes" --to see stories about the election? CBS couldn't do that --they had Priorities: Profile on unknown Congressman from non-pivotal state, one on recycling --followed by deep insightful examination --of an Act-or.

--Inform --examine issues --depth on subjects about Where this country is headed? --Your life --subjects that Matter to you to make Decision? Naw. Very Important stuff, crammed full of garbage aimed --Designed: to help current Oval Office occupant, Jr. --Proof: in the 'profile' of the Congressman who has been trying to expose, cut 'special' projects--Earmarks-- tacked onto Bills, in the middle of the night, favors to lobbyists in exchange for campaign donations, They DIDN'T say --the True size of the deficit --what Republican spending has done to the country. Why not?

--Republicans keep repeating the Line: "great econmoy" --but where is the Rest of the story? If you save your money to protect yourself --if you stop shopping: this country will have to borrow even More than the $3 1/2 billion they have to borrow Every Week.

Dept. of Defense/Pentagoons: get $490 BILLION --Every year. --Why wasn't Some spent on Kevlar bullet-proof jackets for the troops in Iraq they claim to care about? --Spent for maps, intel, translators --hardened transport --why??? CBS: didn't have "time" for those questions, on election eve.

--That's the deal CBS/Viacom cut with this "administration."

More than three million Americans wrote to FCC --faxed --e-mailed --phoned to ask/beg/demand that they Leave the rules alone. So many people --from National Rifle Assoc, Artists, ACLU, Christrian Coalition, independent newspaper & radio owners contacted FCC their copy machines and phones jammed. FCC didn't mind, they were on a Mission.

FCC: changed the rules to accommodate big media, who just happen to be Big Donors. --To get FCC "approval" to rip down firewall between media ownership in a community --to bloat up --own TWO TV stations (i.e. in Los Angeles) + radio + newspaper + cable, etc, etc, etc. CBS --and the other media hogs, got the rules yanked, they got to buy More media in a single community.

Pay-back for the "favor"? They DON'T examine what the current Occupant has done. --They DON'T dig into claims of "WMD in Iraq" --they DON'T examine sinkhole Iraq. On the eve of election --in which their patrons could loose control: they DON'T rock his boat --DON'T examine his incompetence --dealing with countries that HAVE intention to produce nuclear weapons --DON'T look at massive, life-threatening amount of money those people have WASTED.

SHAME on you CBS --FCC --Congress --Oval Office Occupant.

House Majority Leader Rep. Boehner, Ohio, Sunday morning political talk-show: "I heard about the Foley e-mails to the Pages, but I thought Hastert took care of it, and I'm busy with conversations, lots of conversations, I can't remember if I talked to Hastert about the Pages --we have a lot to do, we're busy dealing with security of the country."

Republicans: curious definition of "security" --if you missed investigative reporters' piece last week-end, October 27, 2006 on PBS: "Nice Work if You Can Get It," it showed how Homeland Security Department has handled security --and over $700 million.

What did they do with the money...

Are You Making $450. a Day? How About $515.?
Republicans managing Homeland Security: they gave a sub-contract to a woman in San Diego to hire airport screeners. --Oh, but: no written contract. Oops: no background check on the woman who got the contract. What were her qualifications? She is a travel agent. She is also: a member of an Evangelical church, in Florida. Oops: TSA people kept giving her money --until they handed her $24 million bucks --our money. --No back-up paperwork to justifiy expenses. --Not even "thousands" for cellphones --no documentation on cash withdrawals or on anything else. Result? Auditors determined: $15 million was not justified/overpaid.

Remember when we heard airport screeners weren't screened --no background checks, convicted felons, some on parole? Remember: when it was reported they hadn't been paid, some for as long as six months? Now: we know why. If you are Protestant, Jewish --atheist, any other religion: you can't get a government contract from This Administration?

Is your Congressmember part of the waste, fraud, abuse?
Reporters did a series of investigations, how our money was spent, what security we got for it, you can read each part of the series: High Price of Homeland Security

TSA? They refused to supply papers requested by reporters under Freedom of Information Act. Reporters got the information anyway: the woman got fabulous house, $24 million, $270,000. "pension" --Americans got? Screwed. If you watch the tape: you will see head of TSA --he asked the reporters not to do the story, basically give them 'a break' on handing out $741 million without any proof of how the money was spent.... Would that fly were you work? MOST bosses: don't like it when employees make unnecessary phonecalls.

With "security" like this, I now believe the only reason the country hasn't been attacked again: only because nobody has tried anything since Sept. 11. The money these people have wasted is DIZgusting.

--For $700 Million: ALL of us could have had $1 million health insurance coverage --with $400 million balance: every hospital in the US could have been fully staffed, equipped and paid.

Thanks on the "security" Rep. Boehner. --Where's our security --Where's protection for Pages --Where's our $700 Million --Where's bin Laden? Too busy hoping around to golf courses with your pal Tom Delay? This guy --what anyone would call "leader"???

-Ohio: can't we do better than him?
Three-year old warnings about Foley bothering Pages, $8 Trillion debt next two generations will have to pay off, tax cut for the wealthiest 1%, but no Minimum Wage increase--tried to cut military's benefits IN THE MIDDLE OF WAR --incompetence in Iraq, at home.
-If Democrats are in majority of the House: Mr. Boehner will not be in charge of our money or anything else.
We HAVE to have better than this --Tuesday: Please Vote
-If you give your vote to a Republican: then you will be rewarding that Party for appalling waste and for deaths. -There Has to be consequences for the things they have done: Please vote for anyone but Republicans.
-Buy a local newspaper this week --at least twice, ask your friends to do the same; they are looking out for us, reward them, newspapers are hurting.

2,759 + 104 = Funerals 0 -WHO Should Apologize?

The people who hijacked the Republican Party got: deferments --special treatment instead of tours of duty. Now they are panting and blathering over a comment by the Senator from Massachusetts. Why? Even One American believes --a man who SERVED in the military is going to slam others serving in the military??? Paleeese --how sad, how desperate are they, to be showing off their weenieness in public.

Who shipped Americans' National Guard --to other side of the world for --what was the reason?

A person who chooses to have war is responsible --for consequences --faulty equipment --flimsy transport --helicopters that crash --inadequate water, Kevlar vests, night goggles, bullets, weapons, translators, supplies, maps --protection of troops, civilians, infrastructure, homes, bridges, roads, electricity --destruction of schools, religious houses, families --death --world's contempt, hatred --massive theft --chaos.

Oval Office occupant claims: we "should blame [him]" for the war --so what's he whining about? We DO blame him for Iraq --and so does the Senator.

A woman flying home from Iraq, feeling bad about the soldiers, took out her camera --photographed soldiers going home. She gave her pictures to her newspaper, which published them. Then: she got fired. Why? Pentagoons: didn't like her pictures --showing utmost respect for soldiers --each in a coffin meticulously draped with US flag. --People "running" Iraq invasion and Pentagoons: don't want Americans to see any thing that reveals results --showing how poorly they do their job. --They banned photographers from Day One at Dover airport runway, as coffins off-loaded. Why? Excuse: "that's up to family members of the dead." --Yet no military family has denied permission to reporter or photographer to be at the airport. Pictures of tortured, humiliated Iraq prisoners? Ex Chief of the Joints Meyers --sat on those pictures for eight weeks --until he couldn't prevent media from publishing.

Oval Office occupant: not attended one military funeral. Wives, parents, family members of dead soldiers and marines brought into the White House --calls them "mommy." --Respectful? --Something to admire?

After September 11 attack on the US --advice we got? "Just shop --just live normally." In other words:
'don't make sacrifices' and 'DON'T stop spending your money' --don't pay any attention to what we are doing --to 'aid' our benefactors and giant corporations.' How did 'shop till you drop' --help wives, who suddenly found out "National Guard" meant some other nation?

He and the people he hired to run invasion and occupation of Iraq: don't have a Plan --how to get out.

His choice --civilian who runs Defense Dept: has no military --strategy --tactical --aerial knowledge or experience. He is equipped with massive quantity of: arrogance. He told Generals any who read prepared papers on How to Handle the Peace: would be fired. Now THERE was a Plan. Anyone in military who stands up to him --tries to argue facts with him: finds their career --"altered" --or over. So "brilliant": orderded strikes --TWO wedding parties --slaughtered. --You forgot?

These are the people who paid a liar and bank thief: $350,000 per MONTH --for over a year --to hear? --What they wanted to hear --whispered in their ears. What did we get for the money? Fake facts. CIA: warned them he couldn't be trusted --before he was "hired." --But They didn't mind spending --our money on a liar --on contracts of former employer of President of Vice, violating federal law on no-compete and no-bid --on mercenaries.

These people claim they don't like welfare. --Yet wrote a "drug" bill to give billions in aide to drug makers --to oil companies --to airlines --to coal producers --to insurance, credit card and bank corporations --anyone who ever 'donated' to their election campaigns.

Those people: don't have a problem with CEOs making Millions --but don't want Minimum Wage raise. How is everyone else supposed to pay bills --survive?

They claim to want smaller government: blew a $8 TRILLION hole in our Treasury. --Who will be paying that debt --after they blow town?

--These people howling about a Senator's disgust: Gave out 38,000 oil contracts to dig for oil in nation's parks to pals.

They refused to join the world to cut pollution. They made it harder for struggling families to declare bankruptcy. They gave themselves raises and pension increases --every year. Did you get $3,000. more a year --six years in a row?

How does all that compare --hmmm...to a badly-worded slam of what they have Actually done --military deaths, massive debt, Iraq chaos --655,000 deaths --blood --destruction --two countries threatening to build nuclear weapons --world's disrespect, contempt. Are we better off? --Are you wealthy now? Do You work less hours now? Are You, your family --safer now? --Is the world more stable? WHO should apologize?

Remedies
-Vote Tuesday --for anyone but Republicans, unless you want More of the same
-Offer: Give senior adults a ride to the polls to vote
-Contact: your local Registrar of Voters, your local City Council Representative and local Democratic Party office --request that they have monitors and lawyers at Every polling place --to prevent anyone with fake creditials from entering the polling place --from altering vote totals --from "counting" votes --from evicting Poll workers and "counting" votes --or dumping ballots in the trash. --In case you are one of rare people who doesn't know: Republicans tossed ballots into the trash, "forgot" to count thousands of ballots --in Florida --throughout Southern states.

Do Not Forget: In New Mexico, 2004 "election": the person occupying the Oval Office "received" 58,000 more votes than there are registered voters. --Same in Ohio, Florida, many states and districts with heavily-Democratic registered voters --Reported by US Census Bureau and by GAO for Congress. If such dirty tricks worked twice: why wouldn't he try them again?

Get Absentee Ballot Now NOW

White House So-called press conference --If you saw it only on the news --heard it but didn't SEE it --when a reporter asked him about the election he went off on usual wandering blathering --Not answering question asked, not-subtle attempt to put down Democrats, but then Oval Office occupant said:

"I will have Republican majority in the Senate and Republican majority in the House after this election." Then-- Smirk.

The same smug face --election night 2004 --before the votes were counted. HE IS UP TO SOMETHING.

My instincts tell me: he's going to pull something --I don't know what --Yet. THREE times can NOT be a charm. You MUST get: Absentee Ballot --Do NOT risk voting on electronic vote machine. Not even if they offer you a Notarized paper recipt.

To Vote by Absentee Ballot:
-Google your City's name - then add "dot gov"
-When you are on local government's page: elections is on front page of most --if it isn't >Look for "election" or "registration" "ballot" "polling place" --something like that
-Read Rules on getting/qualifying for Absentee Ballot --very carefully
--you may also be able to request Absentee Ballot by phone
-Some require written request for Absentee Ballot, etc., follow rules carefully --a mistake, missed deadline could mean: not voting
-When you recive the ballot: fill it out promptly, return it as instructed --some will only accept by snail mail, some require send to specific address --by a certain date, follow rules carefully and fast.

Look around --your neighborhood, local areas --see if any senior adult needs an Absentee ballot, offer to help NOW. Only few more days until Absentee Ballot deadline.

I have Very good instincts, good ideas --but I'm clueless: HOW --WHAT he intends to do, but Believe it: that Smirk means He IS going to steal the ELECTION --he already knows it.

If anyone told me --in 2000 --that no-longer supreme court would be used to get inserted into Oval Office --I would have said: 'Get into Re-hab, you're Crazy.'

--If you don't know: in 2004 --in districts with registered Democrats --in Ohio --Florida --South, didn't have enough Polling Places --broken voting equipment; retired and ex FBI agents went into polling areas: told workers there was "red threat alert" --ordered the workers to leave and "counted" the votes. --Proof? At 8 pm EST: all three TV networks reported receiving angry calls from the White House --demanding they report that Ohio had won him the election. --People in Ohio stood to vote in the rain until 4 am --so HOW did they "know" Ohio would 'go Republican'?

US Census Bureau and GAO filed reports: in many heavily-registered Democratic districts the Occupant WON. --In one district of New Mexico: he "won" by 58,000 MORE votes than registered voters of both parties.

Remedies
I have written about electronic "vote" machines since last year --begged people to contact local elction officals to DUMP those machines --vote can EASILY be changed.

We can Not have universal medical insurance --world's respect --jobs, prosperous country --peace --if that person has Republican majority in Congress after this election....

UPDATE: Goverment announced economy "grew" 1.6%. If Occupant's 'trickle down' tax cuts for the wealthiest is "working": where is the growth? --Where is the money? Wage-workers aren't doing better.

I suspect figures on growth and on unemployment have been manipulated past six years. When unemployment insurance runs out: workers are dropped from the rolls --no longer counted --not the same as dropped for getting a job. The people who hijacked Republican Party: don't care.

They also don't seem to be smart enough to figure out: if they ship production of goods/services out of the country --to "improve" their bottom line, who will be able to buy IN the US? They don't care about that either.

This Administration: has to borrow billions every week, to keep the war and the country going. I believe we are in for very rough times. One day: the bills will HAVE to be paid. There's Good reasons: foreclosure rate of recent home purchases is at 76%. Foreclosure: like the canary in the mine. --It will kill the economy, which could cause other things to fall --sharply.

REMEDIES
-Pay Yourself FIRST: You worked for it --Save Your Money
-When you get paid: take 25% off the 'top' --BEFORE you pay bills, mortgage, buy things

-Put into savings account: if you don't have a savings account --keep it simple, go to closest bank, just open account, put in the money. --Make it a deadline --to open an account THIS week --by next Friday
-Set another deadline: Find, open a ROTH-IRA account. Give yourself rigid deadline: within two weeks. Money you put into a ROTH: means you won't have to pay tax on it next year. You are allowed to stash several thousand dollars into a ROTH each year, but you only have two months, until December 30, of this year
-Save: BEFORE you buy things --go out to dinner, etc.

-Look at every area to save/cut back: you will be happy later on --when everyone else is panicing.
-Halloween: Instead of handing out candy, with white sugar which is toxic & addictive, hand out new pennies --get a few rolls. --3 to 10-year olds don't need candy.
-Make coffee at home, take to-go in insulated cup --kick the $20. -30. a week Starbuck habit. One pound of organic (no pesticide) quality coffee costs $8., lasts two weeks. Put the average difference, $42. in the bank.
-Every week: buy a few canned goods, stash away for future.

"Doctor" Condo:

You were hired, for obscene amount of money, to give crash-course to one student on your specialty: Russia.

Then you were hired by federal government to work in national security, as advisor.

Given: two month's 'heads up' notice --that people who hate Americans wanted to hijack planes, crash them into buildings, You: shoved the notice under your ex student's nose. The End.

You failed to even call FBI, Air Force, NTSB, Pentagoons, NORAD, Coast Guard, Customs --anyone??? --to warn: 'Watch for the unusual / Follow procedures strictly / Use instincts / Watch Out.'

You did not advise.

You did not search, read, look for pattern, past assessments -experience -knowledge of previous Administrations. You asked about nothing of any. You evidenced no arming of questions / answers of the knowledgeable.

You did not ask anyone in any other country if they knew of any one, any plans --any inelligence, hatred chatter by anyone.

You failed to intervene: when 182 Saudi Arabian nationals around the country were picked up --assembled onto one plane --allowed to fly out of the country, only plane allowed into US airspace two days after the country was attacked. --Over the objections of FBI, which demanded time and access to question them before they left the country.

You did not determine: how/why FBI came to have an informant living with two of the Saudi hijackers in the months before attack. You did not ask for investigation --CIA inquiry --Congress to hold even closed-door hearings. --You did not require divulgence: What FBI knew, when they knew it, how much informant was paid; what happened to him. You asked no questions, you gained no knowledge.

Having failed at the job after attack on the country September 11, 2001, which had nothing whatever to do with your "specialty" Russia: you received promotion.

You have not prevented, detered, curtailed war --any war, anywhere. You have not offered even a single organic solution for countries to get along, fight common enemey global warming --nuclear bombs --nuclear energy. --Hell, you even failed to teach your ex student how to pronounce the word. Are you standing on "moral" ground when you call for others to shun nuclear weapons? --When Pentagoons have created thousands of them, and you well know it....

Whenever your mouth is open: the multi-edited smooth copy written by the ad agency writers, rolls off your honed serpentine tongue. --But why? By the time the puppet-masters hoist you before cameras to perform: those who scrutinze --already know, newest version of the dance. --You don't answer, admit, acknowledge --or apologize. So whyever do you bother? --We already know what you're going to say --Please: STOP polluting Sunday morning political programs. --It's a waste of our air-waves.

To women: you are not a woman.

To people of color: you are not black.

To people who want peace, don't want to be blown up, shot with semi-automatic weapons in schools, go hungry, go homeless: you provide no knowledge, skill, ability, security or comfort.

When you hop around the world --tell allies: no person secretly transported, delivered to torture --then hop home to tell our representatives: you 'won't do it any more --you promise,' you make liars out of us.

Making History in Texas: Kinky Friedman?

The people who wrote our Constitution: wanted Joe Citizen to step into government, run things for the rest of Americans, then step out.

Ex exterminator Tom Delay, his associates and White House occupant: stepped into government to get money --for themselves, redraw district lines to keep their jobs and use others to fly to distant golf courses, first class. They and their pals live high on the hog, ignore welfare and common good of everyone else --that voted for them to look out for Americans.

Former cockroach hunter Delay, Republican: will stand trial soon, for getting money from 27 Texas corporations--violating Texas law that has stood for 106 years--directing it to RNC in Washington, then having it distributed to Texas Republicans --to keep a Republican majority in the House of Representatives. The donations went to Washington as "soft money" --back to Texas as "hard money" --legal to distribute, after it was 'laundered.'

Lobbyist Jack Abramoff, his pal, 'contributed' to Delay, his wife, his daughter: lavish trips, suites, dinners, salary and gifts totaling millions of the $66 million they got from ripping off four Indian tribes. Pal Abramoff pled guilty, cooperating, going to prison for six years.

Before his Party forced him to resign
Republican Delay threatened: if lobbyist firms hired Democrats --any Democrat to work in their firms, they would not get any bills they wanted passed. On indictment he grinned and declared: "this is just partisan politics." Does Texas have stupid prosecutors --arrest and indict without evidence???

So many Republicans in trouble, if you aren't from Texas or aren't sure which one is Delay: when he forced a vote of the Texas legislature that was going to redraw district lines, to send six more Republicans to House of Representatives, Democrats, to avoid the vote they believed was illegal, left the state, stayed in a motel until deadline passed. Delay: used Homeland Security Dept. --and laws, to send Marshalls and a jet to go get the Democrats, costing thousands and violating laws.

Delay: the one who, as Party Whip, shoved the grotesque Drug Bill --welfare for drug-makers--on American senior adults --and on you, to pay the bill; deepened Treasury debt, un-born great-grandchildren will still be paying it off; threatened members of his own Party --if they didn't do what he wanted.

Grinning Delay: orchestrated the vote that stole our rights: "Patriot" Act. --Government can spy on you --snoop on your bank records, phone calls, e-mail --without a court's approval or warrant, thanks to fat-cat Republican Tom Delay. No-longer supreme court: told the White House to shove it --to get approval from Congress to do that. Good little Republicans toed the line, tried to craft a Bill, even retroactive, to give authority to White House occupant to spy on you, but Occupant: doesn't want to recognize Congress's authority, he wants: sole authority --without interference. There's a name for that: it's called "dictatorship."

What is Tom Delay doing while he waits for his trial to begin? "Religious" leaders --of mega churches --pay Delay to speak to mega groups? --To bring in mega donations? Aren't worshipers TIRED of giving, but never getting anything back but anti-spirit?

Many Texans: voted for the person they most wanted to have a beer with --for president, for ex cockroach hunter Delay and many other Republicans. Apparently they have decided: it's time for those people to 'step off' --don't want any more of those 'partisan' politics --starting with Texas governor's office.

Voter Registration
Ranchers --farmers --working class, all kinds of Republicans and Democrats in Texas: lining up to register so they can vote for 'None of the Above' and choose Independent: Kinky Friedman --to handle the governor's office for them. They have way had enough of Republicans.

Kinky Friedman: plans and goals loaded with common sense --to look out for all. He doesn't have consultants, smooth patter, glib phrases or much money. Does have: contempt for status quo and career politicians. He is smart, single, musical, funny, mature, rather crude, wise --and pissed off. Sound like a typical politician?

How bad is Friedman: he wants a moment of silence and the Ten Commandments --in schools. He wants quality education, Peace Core-type program for teaching and renewable energy.

Remedies for Republican Arrogance, Indifference
Someone has to govern --we may as well choose well --this time --all over the country.
People in all fifty states need to care what happens to Independent Friedman, IF we are going to take back this country.
